As we draw closer to the end of time, we can see just how wicked this world is becoming and how much it is falling apart at the seams with all the deception that is going on around us. We can see just how bad Satan’s delusions are all around us. We can see how the world is being led captive by all sorts of lies that spued from the pulpits today. We can see just how the signs and wonders are growing with such great intensity that it is captivating the minds of the people way from the truth, which the Bible said that all these things would happen as signs of the end. As we draw closer to the appearing of Satan, who is soon to captivate the world through astonishing miracles and more signs and lying wonders, we need to do more in perfecting our walk with Christ so that we will not be deceived. The closer we get to Christ, the more that we put on Christ; we will be able to detect Satan and his host. Let us learn of Christ and walk as He walked; who did no sin!

1 Peter 2:21-22 – For even hereunto were ye called: because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow his steps: Who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth:

Our wonderful and merciful Saviour is still the magnificent light of the world, even though Satan has tried so hard to turn off that light. As Christians today, who are living in a world of sin, surrounded with evils, trials, perplexities, troubles, discouragements and tests, we are to bear the light to the world that Christ is abiding. If Christ is abiding, the character will be transformed, and so can the world who cannot see Christ so clearly. Our lives will be fashioned after the divine pattern of true love, which is obedience to the Author of love. When we learn to follow Christ through our obedience to the divine law, our works will pattern the works of Christ.

John 15:10 – If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father’s commandments, and abide in his love.

True Christians will purify their souls through their obedience to the truth and through the operation of the Holy Spirit.

John 17:17 – Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.

When we become sanctified through the Word of Truth, truly our life sermon will show forth the fruits that Christ is with us. The more we diligently obey the Lord, the more we will become like Christ. The more that we disregard the law of God, which expresses His divine loving character, the more we prove that we are walking with the prince of darkness that has taken the world captive into his rebellion that has cast contempt upon the law of Jehovah.

In the Christian’s life, we should be full of love, full of kindness, treating others as we would want to be treated, dealing with the lost in such a loving way that would bring them into the light of understanding who the Saviour is. We should not utter a word of condemnation to a world that cannot see Christ as we do. They need to see His love first for the sinner. Hellfire preaching is not the entrance to a world who knows not our wonderful and merciful Saviour. And just as we should understand how to deal with the lost, we should continue to learn how to deal with those who are walking with Christ through the battles of this world. Christian soldiers are to stand united together, working in harmony together, and helping each other more and more each and every day, not looking for avenues to destroy them or remove them because of what evil may lie in the hearts of those engaging in such things. Partaking in such work is not love, but is of the devil’s work.

Hebrews 10:24 – And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works:

The Christian’s life should proclaim in words, deeds, actions, in our expressions, the way we carry ourselves in public with our body language that Christ is abiding, all of which needs to have Christ stamped on it and glow with wonderful fruits of love. We cannot think to dress and act like the world as well. Everything about us should be peculiar.

1 Peter 2:9-12 – But ye [are] a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should show forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvelous light: Which in time past [were] not a people, but [are] now the people of God: which had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy. Dearly beloved, I beseech [you] as strangers and pilgrims, abstain from fleshly lusts, which war against the soul; Having your conversation honest among the Gentiles: that, whereas they speak against you as evildoers, they may by [your] good works, which they shall behold, glorify God in the day of visitation.

When we look at the Author of true love, we see how He was constantly employed in works of mercy, shedding light upon the pathway of all of what it means to love one another. Just as Christ was full of perfect virtue, having a self-denying life, showing forth a self-sacrificing life for all, even those who He knew were trying to tear Him down and destroy the Truth, we should follow His example. Through all this, the Saviour still remained full of goodness! The goodness of Christ is to be our work. We must do more in our daily lives to be more like Christ. We must learn to stay focused on Him during our visitations of trials that come knocking on our door. Too many times, day after day it seems that when trials come many lose sight of Christ. When we are tempted, we should remember to think upon Christ. We should always examine ourselves day by day and even minute by minute. We should think more of how we can become more like our Saviour.

1 Corinthians 11:28 – But let a man examine himself…

And to the striving saints of God that are scattered around the world, try to remember that whatever Satan tempts us with, through whatever trial that may come, it is to refine us to be more like Christ so that we can stand in a world of sin and to prepare more for that great and terrible day of the Lord.

Be encouraged dear saints of God who have the faith of Jesus and keep His commandments amidst a world that has rebelled against it. Stand firm through troubles and discouragements. Let not your hearts be trouble from what is going on in the world and what we may see, or what we may experience that is not pleasant, or what delusions Satan may be ready to throw at the world next.

Remember, as the world continues to sink into Satan’s rebellion, who hates the law of Jehovah, let us not for a moment sink with them. If we see that something may possibly be wrong with our own walk, go into prayer with a right heart that is after the will of God, and thus revelation will come. A heart that is after God will perform the works of God.

So fight brethren, and draw not away from God as the world is doing but continue to press forward to the bond of perfection, which is establishing all who Christ is “perfect love.”

Colossians 3:14 – And above all these things [put on] charity, which is the bond of perfectness.

Finally my brethren, continue to love one another as Christ has loved you. Be that loving friend at all times.

Proverbs 17:17 – A friend loveth at all times, and a brother is born for adversity.

Peace…
