The Lord's Heritage: Introduction

2016

Micah - 7:18, 19, 20 -Who [is] a God like unto thee, that pardoneth iniquity, and passeth by the transgression of the remnant of his heritage? he retaineth not his anger for ever, because he delighteth [in] mercy. He will turn again, he will have compassion upon us; he will subdue our iniquities; and thou wilt cast all their sins into the depths of the sea. Thou wilt perform the truth to Jacob, [and] the mercy to Abraham, which thou hast sworn unto our fathers from the days of old.

James 4:8-10 -Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse [your] hands, [ye] sinners; and purify [your] hearts, [ye] double minded. Be afflicted, and mourn, and weep: let your laughter be turned to mourning, and [your] joy to heaviness. Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up.

Revelation 7:1 -And after these things I saw four angels standing on the four corners of the earth, holding the four winds of the earth, that the wind should not blow on the earth, nor on the sea, nor on any tree.

Ezekiel 9:1, 3-6 -And He called to the man clothed with linen, which had the writer's inkhorn by his side; and the Lord said unto him, Go through the midst of the city, through the midst of Jerusalem, and set a mark upon the foreheads of the men that sigh and that cry for all the abominations that be done in the midst thereof. And to the others He said in mine hearing, Go ye after him through the city, and smite: let not your eye spare, neither have ye pity: slay utterly old and young, both maids, and little children, and women: but come not near any man upon whom is the mark; and begin at My sanctuary. Then they began at the ancient men which were before the house.

Revelation 7:2-4 -And I saw another angel ascending from the east, having the seal of the living God: and he cried with a loud voice to the four angels, to whom it was given to hurt the earth and the sea, Saying, Hurt not the earth, neither the sea, nor the trees, till we have sealed the servants of our God in their foreheads. And I heard the number of them which were sealed: [and there were] sealed an hundred [and] forty [and] four thousand of all the tribes of the children of Israel.

Ecclesiastes 8:11 -Because sentence against an evil work is not executed speedily, therefore the heart of the sons of men is fully set in them to do evil.

Isaiah 1:27, 28 -Zion shall be redeemed with judgment, and her converts with righteousness. And the destruction of the transgressors and of the sinners [shall be] together, and they that forsake the LORD shall be consumed.

Psalms 89:14 -Justice and judgment [are] the habitation of thy throne: mercy and truth shall go before thy face

Hebrews 10:30-31 -For we know him that hath said, Vengeance [belongeth] unto me, I will recompense, saith the Lord. And again, The Lord shall judge his people. [It is] a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.

Proverbs 15:10 -Correction [is] grievous unto him that forsaketh the way: [and] he that hateth reproof shall die.

2 Timothy 3:16-17 -All scripture [is] given by inspiration of God, and [is] profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.

Matthew 21:12, 13 -And Jesus went into the temple of God, and cast out all them that sold and bought in the temple, and overthrew the tables of the moneychangers, and the seats of them that sold doves, And said unto them, It is written, My house shall be called the house of prayer; but ye have made it a den of thieves.

Psalms 30:10 -Hear, O LORD, and have mercy upon me: LORD, be thou my helper.

Hebrews 13:6 -So that we may boldly say, The Lord [is] my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me.

Proverbs 17:22 -A merry heart doeth good [like] a medicine: but a broken spirit drieth the bones.

John
15:1        I am the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman.
15:2       Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away: and every [branch] that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit
15:3       Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you.
15:4       Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me
15:5       I am the vine, ye [are] the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing
15:6       If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast [them] into the fire, and they are burned.
15:7       If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you
15:8       Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples.

Matthew 3:8 -Bring forth therefore fruits meet for repentance:

Deuteronomy
32:32    For their vine [is] of the vine of Sodom, and of the fields of Gomorrah: their grapes [are] grapes of gall, their clusters [are] bitter:
32:33    Their wine [is] the poison of dragons, and the cruel venom of asps
32:34    [Is] not this laid up in store with me, [and] sealed up among my treasures?
32:35    To me [belongeth] vengeance, and recompense; their foot shall slide in [due] time: for the day of their calamity [is] at hand, and the things that shall come upon them make haste

Matthew
7:16       Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?
7:17       Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit.
7:18       A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither [can] a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.
7:19       Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.
7:20       Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.

Matthew
13:18     Hear ye therefore the parable of the sower.
13:19    When any one heareth the word of the kingdom, and understandeth [it] not, then cometh the wicked [one], and catcheth away that which was sown in his heart. This is he which received seed by the way side.
13:20    But he that received the seed into stony places, the same is he that heareth the word, and anon with joy receiveth it;
13:21    Yet hath he not root in himself, but dureth for a while: for when tribulation or persecution ariseth because of the word, by and by he is offended.
13:22    He also that received seed among the thorns is he that heareth the word; and the care of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, choke the word, and he becometh unfruitful.
13:23    But he that received seed into the good ground is he that heareth the word, and understandeth [it]; which also beareth fruit, and bringeth forth, some an hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty.

Matthew 16:18 -And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.

1 Corinthians 10:4 -And did all drink the same spiritual drink: for they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them: and that Rock was Christ

Romans
8:35        Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? [shall] tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?
8:36       As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.
8:37       Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.
8:38       For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,
8:39       Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Lamentations 5:5 -Our necks [are] under persecution: we labour, [and] have no rest.

Revelation 12:17 -And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.
