James 1:3-4 "Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience. But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.

1 Peter 1:7 That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ:

Philippians 2:12 "...work out your own salvation with fear and trembling."

CHARACTERISTICS OF THE CHAFF:

From Matthew 3:2-12

  • Too vain and self-righteous to receive reproof, too world-loving to accept a life of humility,
  • When truth is brought home to the heart, they see that their lives are not in accordance with the will of God.
  • They see the need of an entire change in themselves; but they are not willing to take up the self-denying work.
  • Therefore they are angry when their sins are discovered.
  • They go away offended, even as the disciples left Jesus, murmuring, "This is an hard saying; who can hear it?"
  • Loves praise and flattery

1 Samuel 15:3  "Now go and smite Amalek, and utterly destroy all that they have, and spare them not; but slay both man and woman, infant and suckling, ox and sheep, camel and ass." 

1 Samuel 15:9 "But Saul and the people spared Agag, and the best of the sheep, and of the oxen, and of the fatlings, and the lambs, and all [that was] good, and would not utterly destroy them: but every thing that was vile and refuse, that they destroyed utterly."

1 Samuel 15:28 "The LORD hath rent the kingdom of Israel from thee this day, and hath given it to a neighbour of thine, that is better than thou."

Proverbs 10:17 "He is in the way of life that keepeth instruction: but he that refuseth reproof erreth."

Proverbs 15:10 "Correction [is] grievous unto him that forsaketh the way: and he that hateth reproof shall die."

Proverbs 15:5 “…he that regardeth reproof is prudent.”

Proverbs 13:18 “…he that regardeth reproof shall be honoured.”

Proverbs 15:31-32 "The ear that heareth the reproof of life abideth among the wise. He that refuseth instruction despiseth his own soul: but he that heareth reproof getteth understanding. "

Proverbs 29:15 "The rod and reproof give wisdom: but a child left to himself bringeth his mother to shame."

Revelation 3:19 “As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent.”

2 Corinthians 12:9 "And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me."

Revelation 21:7 "He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son."

Additional Note:

Scriptural support about the time of the end which begun on 1844 (cleansing of the sanctuary):

Daniel 8:17 8:17 "So he came near where I stood: and when he came, I was afraid, and fell upon my face: but he said unto me, Understand, O son of man: for at the time of the end [shall be] the vision." It means the vision will be fulfilled at the time of the end. The vision or the 2300 day prophecy was fulfilled on 1844 therefore begun the time of the end.
